Village of Hope Niagara looks toward our future...
As we open the doors to our new location at 2540 South Service Road on February 15, this occasion represents the culmination of a years long journey. We celebrate what began as a vision in 2008 ‘to help those in need’ and with the hope to see it through, Village of Hope Niagara continues to grow in its commitment to helping families struggling in our community.
With our spacious and inviting FoodBank, clients continue to appreciate the greater variety of food items (dry/fresh, and frozen) to choose from weekly.
With our newly renovated ThriftStore space, customers are invited to shop in a safe, organized, and welcoming environment, with extended hours on Thursdays (10am - 7pm).
Operating out of a central location VoHN’s presence strengthens in our community, as we continue to offer positive, proactive, and preventative programs and services benefitting our client families, with new programs on the horizon.
With the consolidation of our work at 2540, the Board of Directors has elevated the responsibilities of Executive Director, Cheryl Keddy-Scott to those of Chief Executive Officer. As such, Cheryl will continue to oversee the operations of both the FoodBank and the ThriftStore at an Executive level. As CEO, Cheryl will focus her abilities on bringing attention to the non-profit charity in our community, through public speaking, media appearances, representation at fundraising events, and connecting with new donors.
The Board of Directors has also elevated Site Supervisor, Joe McCarthy to the responsibility of Operations Manager. Joe will continue to support Cheryl in overseeing the daily operations of the FoodBank and the ThriftStore. Joe’s role will focus greater attention to the daily logistical decisions of the operation.
These changes in management will ensure that VoHN will continue to provide competent leadership to our team moving forward, with a plan for he future.
Thank you all, clients, donors, volunteers and staff for your contributions to making our Village of Hope. It takes a Village...
