Empathy motivates our assisting a community member in crisis. The desire to help one another is at the cornerstone of the programs and services we offer.
Our Programs of Assistance and Empowerment
Food Program
Village of Hope Niagara encourages residents of Lincoln (Beamsville, Jordan, Vineland, Campden, and area in Niagara) to register for access to our food bank if they find themselves without the means to meet their food needs. We work to maintain a well stocked food room of fresh fruits, and vegetables, non-perishables, breads and baked goods, personal care, and household cleaning products. This service is offered throughout the year, and delivery is available for those where transportation is an issue.
Emergency Shelter-Utility Program
Village of Hope Niagara works closely with, and advocates for registered clients to ensure stability of shelter and continuity of utility service at all times. Keeping clients in stable shelter, with utility access connected saves them money, and maintains a good credit rating.
"Thank you Village of Hope for the hours you spent with me on the phone and in person. I was on the brink of eviction till I came to you. Through you speaking with my landlord, helping me to budget and paying money towards my rent, my family will be staying in our home of 8 years. Never will I fall behind again. Vineland is our forever home."
Healthy Snack Program
Village of Hope Niagara's Healthy Snack Program fills a gap between home and school, and more families need our help to support their children. We've extended this initiative into the Summer now, and families will be able to visit our Centre on a weekly basis to receive a carefully curated box filled with an assortment of fresh fruit, wholesome snacks, and essential breads. These provisions not only ensure that children have access to vital nutrients but also contribute to their overall well-being and future academic performance. Village of Hope Niagara currently has 433 children under age 17 registered. We have also subsidized 88 of these children to play soccer, baseball, while others attend various camps throughout Lincoln.
Back To School Campaign
Village of Hope Niagara works to reduce obstacles to the success of children in families enduring financial stress. The children of our neighbours in need, despite circumstances, have the same aspirations for their futures. With your support, we do all we can to lower the hurdles that would hinder their way. A sponsored child will have their school supplies, lunch containers, and healthy snacks, for their year ahead. Our Back to School program assists children returning to school in need of assistance, they do not need to register for the food bank, and only minimal basic information is required. An internet subsidy is also available to those families where it would be of benefit.

Village of Hope Niagara believes strongly that we need to work together to make a difference, all clients are encouraged to attend budgeting sessions throughout the year, and complimentary income tax preparation. This has proven successful for many registered clients.
