About 200 volunteers from Village of Hope Niagara will be fanning out across Lincoln on Saturday to collect food for the organization’s eighth annual porch pickup food drive.

“We’ve been distributing food bags and we’re asking everybody to put a can or two in a bag and put it on their front porch and our volunteers will be picking it up,” said Cheryl Keddy-Scott, chief executive officer of Village of Hope Niagara. “Our goal is 25,000 pounds (more than 11,000 kilograms); last year we did that.”

The porch pickup runs 10 a.m. to noon.
